End of Life Doula Services
Throughout the United States
As an End-of-Life Doula (EOLD) for any age client throughout the lifespan (prenatal through adulthood), I provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to you, your loved ones, and your support networks. I will assist you and your family with understanding the natural end of life process, while providing suggestions/assistance for comfort, support, well-being and truly living the rest of your journey with quality and love. My holistic support for your loved one and your family will occur before (at the onset of diagnosis), during, and after death.

Your Wishes: Outline your Wants, Hopes and Needs

I will help you document end of life wishes, provide you information to help you decide what you want and I will help to share what you hope to have and let those that love and support you know your needs. I will help you complete paperwork such as advanced directives, funeral/service planning, memorial planning and anything else you would like, in order to help you feel supported so you can spend your energy loving your family and friends, spending time making memories and not worrying about tasks that seem insurmountable

Care plans for you and your family

I will help make sure that all of your end of life needs are taken care of. I will help you organize and share important information with your family so all you need to concentrate on is spending the time with your family and friends with less worry and more love. Help can range from making sure all paperwork is in order such as wills, to creating a file system for important names, numbers, accounts etc, knowing who can help your family when you are not able to. As part of your care plan, if you would like to have companion visits to help take care of your loved ones, take care of things around the home etc, we can also plan for this!

Do you want pictures, video or audio recordings, gifts or letters to leave behind? I can help with that and more! Caregiver Support

Your presence during this time is powerful and your well-being is of utmost importance! In order for you to care for your family member or friend, you need to be cared for as well. You need space held for you, your fears, your concerns, your love, your sadness, your happiness. When you become a caregiver to a family member or friend, roles become muddied and decisions feel complex. I have been there in your shoes and continue to be. I can lend a listening ear, share my organizational skills, help you advocate for yourselves and your family members and help you make sense out of anything you may be facing. Together we will create a plan that supports your needs as a caregiver.

Journey's End and Bereavement Support

Losing a loved one can be an overwhelming and challenging experience for families. During this time it is my mission and hope that I will advocate for and ensure that end of life wishes are carried out as outlined in birth plans, advance care plans, living wills and other documentation generated and that they are honored and respected. I will collaborate with the healthcare team, hospice providers and family members to ensure seamless care, coordination and communication. I also promise (if requested) that I will extend support to families and friends during and after death, helping to navigate grief and practical aspects of end of life arrangements.

Every client and family I serve in this role is unique and services will be tailored to your individual needs. My hope is that I can collaborate with your hospice, palliative care team, and other healthcare professionals to create a dynamic support system ensuring the highest quality care for you and your family.
These offerings above are able to be completely customized and if a service isn't listed, but you are in need of something specific, just ask and I can make sure your needs are addressed.
Having supported many former clients as well as family and friends at their end of life journey and being faced with my own mortality after a diagnosis of malignant melanoma (stage 1b at this time), I understand how difficult it is to talk about end of life needs, how hard it is for the person dealing with the terminal diagnosis and how hard it is to deal with the unknowns. You and your family member should be supported throughout every step you take on this journey.
Referrals to appropriate professional and community resources will be made as needed for services that are outside of the EOL Doula scope of practice. An EOLD is not a medical provider and as such, any information or advice given should be viewed in that light. Even though I am an OT by trade, in this role I am not practicing as a medical provider of hospice or palliative care.
